It's a Winner !!

After doing a little bit of touching up on my painting of SassyCat under the Christmas tree, waiting for Santa, I entered it into a juried show. For those who don't know, to be able to hang work in a juried show means that the work has to meet certain criteria; in this case the criteria was subject matter and quality of the work. If the work fails to meet the specified criteria, you are asked to pick it up rather than have it accepted into the competition.
I am so excited that two of my paintings were accepted, and the one titled Waiting for Santa was awarded a third place ribbon (and check -- in my left hand in the photo :) That's always nice to receive!). I am thrilled because this was the first time I entered a juried show and just to be accepted was an honor.
Two more shows are coming up soon, and I'm busy painting, matting, and framing, trying to get ready in time.
Thanks for looking, and if you like what you see here, please forward it by clicking on the little envelope icon below. If you are interested in purchasing this painting, it will be available after January 7th, and the price is only $295 plus shipping and handling.
